Leading European supplier of pressure sensitive films Lintec Graphic Films has again chosen Parkland International as supplier for their latest round of investment in converting equipment.

Due to expansion, new equipment will be provided and scheduled to coincide with a move in to a purpose built facility in the summer of 2015. Managing Director Andy Voss comments “due to increased sales in specialist synthetic label stock, our current building was somewhat restrictive and we needed a facility that matched our growth plan. Having worked with Parkland for many years it made it an obvious choice when selecting a supplier for our new equipment”.

Lintec will add to their existing Parkland equipment with a SM150 Duplex Centre Winder and a TC35 Series R Automatic Core Cutting Machine.

The SM150 (Series I & II) is a popular choice for full width slitting of a wide range of films, laminates, label stock and paper and is available in two versions.

The Parkland TC35 Series R is an automatic machine that is ideal for customers looking for a high quality, accurate finish with a minimum amount of operator input. Additional automatic features, quick and easy settings for different core diameters and wall thicknesses and the ability to cut both cardboard and plastic cores, makes this model ideal for the medium to high volume user. Optional core loading systems can be added at point of sale or retrospectively for full automation to give a continuous cutting cycle.

Allianz Riviera is the first of three French stadia to be built by Vinci Construction to host 2016 UEFA European Championship (UEFA 2016) games. Created by Willmotte & Associates, it is an Eco-stadium powered by renewable energy and covered with the latest high specification materials. Completed and opened in September 2014, it is located in Var Eco-Valley, near the Côte d’Azur. The stadium is crafted in every way to blend in with the mountainous landscape of the surrounding area.

Material supplier for the project, Saint-Gobain provided 45,000m² of Architectural Grade ETFE and processed this through its Rochdale plant in the UK. With quality having the upper most importance Saint-Gobain, Rochdale processed its entire order through its Parkland International SM150 Series II Duplex Slitter Rewinder. The SM150 Series II has exceptional versatility without compromising accuracy or reliability. The easy thread-up and fast reel change add up to reduced downtime and greater productivity.

Echoed by Saint-Gobain Operations Director, Peter Appleton said “we produced the Rolls through the Parkland machine, efficiently and without issues”.

Meeting up with Peter at last months ICE Munich Exhibition was an opportunity to discuss this project in more detail and how returns are now being generated following the investment in their SM150 Series II Slitter Rewinder. At Parkland we are privileged to have played a part in helping Saint-Gobain satisfy its contract and help create such an impressive architectural design.
